Thanks for the replies guys.

@ Micholix, I am from Belgium

This may be a general question but I don't know where else to ask it. so here goes: Even though I am very anxious to build the car, realistically, the first time I'll drive it is in March or so, when the weather turns around here. Would it be a bad idea to build the car and then not drive it for 3 months? I am thinking about the gearbox obviously, the grease, the ball diff pushing the plates... Or am I overthinking this and I shouldn't worry ?

I see that Leo (ekt) has dropped Durango in favor of Xray. I guess its hard to be a fan when the future of Durango is so uncertain.

sad very sad. Maybe the brand will get sold to say exotek and they can run with it. There upgrades really transform the vehicles.

Hi Fearo,

One thing i forgot, if you like to built your dex210 in mm3, download the dex210v1 manual, as in the v2 and v3 manuals there no building steps for this setup, only for mm4 or rm3 just to get sure, you dont have to disassamble the diff at the end.
For carpet, or astro tracks, i would go with an geard diff as well.

I haven't built the kit yet, but I have a few questions before I even start:

1) Should I go MM3 or MM4? (I've never owned a mid motor buggy). I will be running it on medium grip bumpy astro and (maybe) high grip carpet. On Petitrc there is 1 setup sheet for MM3 while there are over 100 for MM4 but those are usually a few years old and I know the current trend is towards MM3, so...Can I get some insight from anyone running on similar conditions?

2) Is there anything I should know before I start the build? Errors, tricks, etc...? I'm doing as much research as I can but sadly I don't have the time to read al 1200+ pages

Thanks a lot.

Hobbico is getting a new distributor in Europe. Not sure what this means for Durango, but there are some crazy fire sales going on for the DEX410v5 and DEX210F.

DEX410v5 - http://www.t2shop.de/epages/61746328...%2F11-TD102036

DEX210F - http://www.t2shop.de/epages/61746328...ectID=51974449

Comes out to about $210 US before shipping. Shipping for me was about $40. So $250 for a buggy that sells for $450 at Tower.

that be a temping option if we knew what was going on with Durango. Be funny if you could get tower hobbies to price match.

Oh, and factor in shock shafts to the price. kit ones, at least the fronts, still have that breakage issue I am hearing.

Edit: i was just about, to order one at my lhs, so the esc is now for free!

Edit 2: there is one problem comming along with the order, HOW TO EXPLANE THAT TO MY WIFE???

Haha Micholix, if you find a way to explain it to your wife, let me know. I need a new 8th scale and could use some help as well ...

Also, thanks for the tip on the manual for MM3, I thought it was kind of strange that it wasn't discussed in the V3 manual.

That would've been me. Got them in the mail today. Real deal. Can't believe they were that cheap. I was waiting to comment until I received them. Figured it was a typo and I'd get like one ball end for that price.

Hi Fearo, there is no general rule, how to explane, you have to be creative...

You are wellcome for the tip, it does explane it quite nicely in the previus manuals!
I think, there was a trend, that almost no one did built it in mm3 back in the days, so may they skiped that in the newer manuals!?
