+1 the rear motor option may be a better way to go for you, or, see what you can add like rear weights.

Speaking of which, I am going to list up some durango spares I am not going to need based on my current car setup, dex210v2 chassis, carbon steering link (tresrey maybe?), rear MM weight, and some other things.

Lastly, for the exotek chassis how feesible does it look to actually do a laydown transmission? Or, if your to that point, maybe you just get a dex210F.

I don't think with my current Exotek chassis I could do a laydown tranny. I mean if I had a shorty servo which I do I could easily move the battery and esc forward but I don't think I have a place to mound the front tranny brace and the motor will probably hit where the tranny brace normally goes. Honestly though I would just buy a 2nd car. Either the 210f, D216 or PRS1 V3. But for now until I'm totally get beat by car and not driver I have no reason to change anything before the season starts.

Tomorrow my new Proline Predator body arrives so I will be looking at test fitting it and checking out my stock body to just to see where the differences are.

Regarding exotek and the laydown tranny. The two extraholes that are ahead of the waterfall brace are for a laydown transmission. From what I gather Mike from exotek said he hasn't had time to work on and was waiting to see how the new Chasis would sell before that. I know Leo Lorenzo (so?) in Australia I believe is working on one as we speak. Saw his first print in Facebook in the team Durango. New side braces, motor plate and transmission should be all to finish. Use the rest of the same hardware. Shorter battery strap and your there.

anyone with the dex210f and the dex210 can you let me know if the dex210f body is more narrow than the stock dex210v2 body (or the cab foward one).

Thanks!

Speaking of the laydown transmission, can anyone with the Exotek chassis measure the distance between the brace mount holes for me?

Did a little more work to the Dingo last night. New front Proline Wing and new Rear Proline Trifecta wing. Talk about heavy duty as that rear wing is a beast and should last me thru lots of crashes I did run the car a few laps on are bone dry track as I didn't water for a week so but car had pretty good rear traction with a decent push getting into the corners but had a tight turning radius. Still need the body on and the esc adjusted for my drag brakes, shocks freshened up and exactly what spring combo I want to run. Still was happy with the car overall. Are indoor track is never run this dry so no real worries on my part with handling.

looking forward to seeing the pics when I get home!

Do you think you'll be able to take any vids of the vehicle running?

lol. Well, always a first time for everything!

Saw a post about some flippable washers that have a recess in them so you can do 2mm and 3mm with just a flip. May get those versus playing the washer hunt for ball stud height.

For you guys running exotek slipper eliminators, how much does the exotek specific spur gears weigh?

Wyd,
Thanks for all the updates again. Car is looking good.

I had that beefy wing as well on my sons Dex. I hope yours last longer. It seems to crack quicker because of lack of flex. I now have the newer Durango thicker wing. Seems to be holding up better. Your probably a better driver than my son so it should work great.

Where did you get the front wing mount?

I do wreck but I'm not brutal on my stuff but being so stiff your right it could crack easier. Will see what happens.

I got mine right from Mike Gay who makes them for a few places but I think I took his last stock. Schelle Racing carries the same one I used.

Thanks Wyd!!!
I love the look of the predator body. Can't wait to see yours. Trying to sell a few things and then get the exotek Chasis.

Cain,
I think you might be right about a lay down Chasis vs dex210f. Probably better to just get the F. Yokomo and someone else started the laydown and now they are going back to a dirt specific standard tranny. And now the fad for Losi and AE is the laydown. It was 4 gear and now 3 gear. Funny thing is people, Durango has had all those options well before any of them, except the laydown. LOL. DURANGO design may be older but it is still very current!! Especially with exotek chassis!!
