Default Exotek chassis

I am also interested in the pictures of the chassis. Has anyone driven or seen the chassis at a track? I just received my Dex410v5 to replace my Dex410v4 and now I was looking to upgrade my Dex210v2. My thinking is that I would rather spend the money on the new chassis instead of the new Dex210v3. The v5 was an easy decision. Where we race is mainly all Losi, Associated and Hot Bodies. I am basically the only Durango driver left at our track but I do like their products.

just watch a DEX210V3 go on ebay just slightly north of $100 ...

the DEX210V3 should have just been named a DEX210V2.1 as the changes to the vehicle were so minor from what I am hearing the box it comes in just has a sticker over the V2 logo and the V3 specific parts thrown in.

I am basically running an exotek loaded dex210v2 here with a Plan B chassis (very nice) and I am curious to hear more on the exotek offering.

That should be where durango takes queues and makes a dex210V4 or to keep model numbers similar a dex210v5. Take all the exotek stuff that affects handling, and make a version of the vehicle with it.

Psi,
Take Cains advice. Get the exotek Chasis and new body and your set. Doing the 12mm hex mods are easy if hat is the route you want to take.
No need to go find a V3.

It says right in the directions that the screws for the adjustable toplate are not included. Either way I didn't need them with my Exotek setup. My car is done and I have to say its killer. Can't wait to get the body to my painter and get it totally finished but right now its all wired an race ready except for the body and rear wing. Car is one of the nicest cars I have built in a long time.

no prob, surprised they didn't just include that but oh well.

Looking forward to seeing your pics. How much trimming did you have to do for the body to fit correctly?

That's kinda lame. If they're in the pictures, they should be included. I can't imagine it would cost that much to include them.

I have parts leftover so I could make stops if I wanted.

I only took a few laps just to check everything out and without the body on but I will say it does turn in very hard. First time down are straight and at the end I was able to traction roll on the very first lap. Why was that ok.........well the car ever turned in that hard before which I liked. Easy to mellow it out when they over steer but a pain to find when they push like a dog. I will be testing a lot more in a few weeks when I take it to another track and spend the day practicing but for now it is pretty damn cool. Very nicely done by Exotek. Only slow part is if you use the Exotek rear bulkhead then it takes some time to sand the transmission case to make the bulkhead fix but it is well worth the time as the rear of the car when all together is very sold as is the whole car. Just really like the way the whole thing came together. Lots of guys will be surprised by this car thats for sure.

I have a few little things I want to change yet like my spring retainers as the Kyosho springs sometimes stretch over the retainer sometime so I will address that and I have a few spring combos that I never did try with the car that I will want to do over the next few weeks. Also have a new custom front wing mount that I never had before so I will have one that fits perfect vs the setup I did use. I will post that later this week one I receive that and my new front wings.

Thanks Wyd for posting your pics and updates. What foam are you using for spacing. I want to order some but can't tell in pics in web which ones will go the full length of a shorty.

Look forward to your testing and updates. I had the same issue w/ my Kyosho springs. If you figure out a solution please share.
