Ok so cutting area away from plastic side peices to keep lipo in place and lowering it flat on chassis eliminates many of the things I was worried about and I don't think that the lipo underside is in danger .or is it??? I also did the Turtle Speed modification too on one of my other dex210. Hope to try both real soon

Go look at the DEST or DESC THREAD, I posted some pictures of how to reinforce the rear A arms with stainless 1mm (.032, I think) wire.

anyone got a suggestion on setups for low traction dirt for both a dex210v2 standard setup (inline battery) and a plan b based dex210v2 in mid motor configuration?

track has 1/8 style jumps but would roll those as needed.

Also, anyone have experience with the VRP pistons, if so, which ones do you recommend going with front and rear?

I have found JP Richard's and Travis's Setup work well on low grip dirt with the Dimec type B and the Alloy chassis, but only when i did the sideways shorty modification.

Also they both appear to use VRP Pistons

Sounds like you're going back to old school off-road style racing.

Then when winter comes assuming the track keeps running its carpet like videos I posted.

First time back at the track last night to practice with the above, much better but still a little loose. Tried shortening the front camber link and lengthening the rear and that really helped, much more bolted down down. Was able to run very consistently and knocked 3 seconds off my average lap time.

Best its ever handled and think I now need to get more laps in to get used to it, I think it can corner quicker than I can drive it now

So glad to hear. I am on indoor clay. I mostly drive a DEST, my son drives the Dex. I did the sideways shorty conversion. I went to MM3, and no antisquat. Because the rear end was loose last time practicing. His car was dialed. Most rear traction we have had. It felt twitchy to me because it was so on rails. I need to calm the steering down. My DEST has 1.5 degree antisquat. I added lots of weight and it was fun to drive this time out. I need to find more steering though.
Thanks for posting PISTOL. if you have time maybe share your setup when you have a chance.

Quite similar, mm3, zero anti squat, long rear arms, short front arms, -1 camber all around, 4mm trailing axle and 20' caster.

Although I'm running on grass. If you need more steering then you can run axles in line or with lower front roll centre or shorty Lipo forward.

I should of been more clear. The Dex has tons of steering, 25 degree castor.

The DEST is lacking steering. Mainly corner entry. I am going to shorten the front arms. And Lower the roll center. Thanks.
