I run the 3 gear setup in my Dingo and it is smooth and consistent in stock. I also ran an 8.5 in it and it was almost just smooth as running stock. Needed a little more steering but car was very easy to drive and no funny business.

Wow not on for a few days during the snow storm and this thread was really busy. Nice to see it busy again.

yeah I am liking the 3 gear setup, with probably just stick with that.

For when Mod time comes, I have an 8.5T motor here I'll probably drop in as I am used to how to how it performs unless I pick up something else to run it in, like an SCT.

There were a couple of others in there. I didn't really focus on them since I was focused on the rebuild. I'll give them a look and start playing with gearing to see how fast this thing can go since I seem to have plenty of room with temperature.
Stock gear should be 81, the 87 came on the ST and SC.

The Dex210 came with a 87 as well. At least the v1 did.

Right, V1 came with an 87 tooth, verified on the durango website on the standard parts page.

Yes 87 for the kit cars but the rtr cars came with 81 and 28 or 29 pinion for the stock 13.5t motor.

Quick question - Has anybody had issues with the ball diff providing different amounts of torque at each wheel? In summer we run on grass and I noticed off the line it often pulls to the left, have rebuilt the diff several times and noticed the output shaft is much more worn on the right had side and no wear on the left 😕

Looking at replacing with a free diff but would still like to get it working correctly. Any ideas?

I wouldn't be surprised if that dumb C clip that holds the thrust bearings in got loose .

Yep it comes with the standard 14MM rear hex wheels, and bearing front wheels. It has everything to convert the car to 12mm hexes but no wheels in the box to go with them.

Have you checked your outdrive bearings?

Good call, I didn't specifically check these but think I would have noticed as I have rebuilt the diff three times and it always done it. Guess I really need to check all the bearings (hubs as well) on the left hand side.

Thanks.

looks like the parts used for the front 12mm hex setup, at least the steering knuckle or whatever its called is hard to find right now. Was looking at some options and was having issues finding it at common places, with tower having it listed as May when they will get a restocking ???

Though, I do wonder, the part number for the dex210v3 steering knuckle is slightly different, has a -1 on the end.

Has anyone else looked at the setup sheet for the 210F? It looks like it has the same/similar RR hanger that Travis had on his car.

My car would pull to the right on starting line. It was the rear shocks not compressing at the same rate letting the right side squat more. So the car acted like it had torque steer.

If your car is pulling to one side there is always a few things to look at. Binding in the transmission for sure.
Like stated above if your rear shocks are not equal, then the tire with more spring compression will grab quicker. I was adjusting ride height one time and turned on spring tensioner clockwise and the other counter clock wise.. Oops.
Also your front droop settings have to be equal. If one front tire lifts off the ground before the other the weight is transferred unequally to the rear and sideways you go.
So many things..
I must say though.. My 10 year old son drove his buggy better than I could this past weekend. He was pushing it hard, crashing hard. This buggy is very durable. He broke the rear wing off by the end of the day but nothing else. He hasn't popped one of the balls off in a year. Love it!!
