That TLR 22 3.0 is making me feel like an even bigger chump for buying a DEX210v2. Come on Durango... unveil the v3!

There will always be another new car out there and always people who feel that they didn't get the best thing available. There is no best car.

I hear ya. It's just frustrating to see other companies updating their 2wd platforms when Durango stops manufacturing theirs.

Durango hasn't stopped manufacturing theirs. Chris Doughty posts more on Oople so that's where you'll find more up to date information. There is a V3 version of the 210 coming out AND the 210F which will compliment it. They'll have 2 separate 2wd cars.

Yes they did. the V2 is no longer available and says it. So anyone trying to buy a 2wd buggy right now can't.

unless you want mine

You only have to wait until Nov 20th, so a little over 2 weeks according to amainhobbies. It may vary at other places. Anyone that already has a car doesn't really need to be concerned with needing another one right now and parts are still available.

Ok why is that ?

It does feel a little smoother when the transmission is tighten with the Gear diff with no shims.

I know that Exotek had a V3 listed on their website but has Durango confirmed that its actually coming? I've been hearing rumors of a DESC210v2 for more than a year now so I'm probably a bit more skeptical than most.

Someone needs to tell the folks who run Durango's website about the 210 still being in production if that is indeed the case.

As I've stated before, Chris Doughty at Durango posted in a thread on Oople that there is a DEX-210V3 on the way and a DEX-210F. There will be 2 new cars. The V2 is discontinued so they can reorganize to package the V3 kit and the new car.

Here it it fred, I found it on oople for you.
The DEX210 (MM/RM) 2WD platform will still remain current and be developed. the DEX210F will run along side that car as the focussed medium-high traction 2WD car.

Can't give any details on release dates yet, first news on those (and ore details on the car) will come via www.team-durango.com website

This is a VERY exciting new car, A lot of time, thought, effort and development has gone into this car. One of the optional layouts has been seen before, but hasn't that always been the case? (rear motor stick pack 2WD cars, the first mid-motor 2WD cars)
The performance comes from the details and tuneability of the car, the features that the car has to allow you to get the car working the way YOU want it to.
The DEX210F has these kind of useful features.

(Yes it was the same car that myself and James Ambrose used at oOple race)
Interestingly too, I used the car in 2 rounds of practise at the Euros on dirt and my best lap was actually better with the DEX210F. But it was too risky to run the car if the track lost traction. (the track had polished in previous events and I was concerned that would happen again - it didn't, it gained grip! haha)

Finally, regarding the toqrue steer, I think with brushless motors the rotor is far lighter than the armatures used to be from brushed motors. I think any effect is far less with the brushless generation.

The gear diff is wide enough to not need them.

I never shimed my gear diff in my DEX210 or DESC210. Ran on carpet for 3 years.

Hello All,

just a quick heads-up update..

If you take a look at the recent buggy releases certainly when it comes to gearbox and motor locations. they are all FINALLY getting to the same point the original DEX210 was when it was released in 2011

Since day1 the original DEX210 was able to do MM3 gear out of the box, as well as MM4, as well as RM3... and even RM4 if you really wanted to do that.

so what I'm saying is, the orginal DEX210 or the DEX210v2 is certainly NOT out of date at all. from what I can see its the other manufactures catching up with what we were able to do with our Gearbox design patent.

the real advancements in 2WD for high traction that were used at the worlds seem to be completely forgot about for these production cars recently announced.

We will have you covered with a production car for those situation too
