Doh! You're right... I don't know what I was thinking... must have gotten confused with my other cars.

That's a darn good idea!

I am getting a used dex210 with motor mounted rear. Are there any parts that would not be on the car that would be needed to mount it mid? Thanks

bloody hate how the 2.5mm bearing sits so tight into the diff outdrive cup (the one that sits on top of the circlip/thrust)

everytime i remove it to replace/clean the thrust bearing i end up spending 30 mins to bash the bearing out which cost me a new bearing. Gets expensive if you run ceramic

anyone have any tips?

Take a dremel felt polishing wheel with some metal polishing compound from home depot and do a quick spin in the cup. It well help remove some scratches which is what is probably causing the binding in the first place so the bearing can slide out free. Don't use the rubber polishing bits (felt only)

i have a dex210 i bought used a while ago that had been collecting dust for a while....
I'M assuming its the rtr because of the one piece composite chassis....

The car is in mid motor.
I just bought the TD cab back body for it (part# TDR402009)...I trimmed it and it doesnt fit. The sides of the body seem to be too narrow where the chassis flares out and reaches its widest point.

Also the marked spots on the body dont exactly align with the body posts.

Any ideas on why this is????

the rear cab bod does not fit the composite or v2 chassis, only the standard aluminum v1 chassis

What you have is prob not the rtr chassis. Its the +8mm chassis.
If so, only body that will work is the durango +8 body. And it work for mid or rear motor.

thanks....

Amain has it listed as compatible for the 210 n v2 chassis.

i guess that doesnt do me good in either case being i have the composite chassis.

That was a lil bit of a bummer. i really like that cab back body.
(not to mention i was hoping to throw the electronics in it n take it out for a spin later today)

Now im in a bind....Do i get a different body for 20 bucks or just spend the extra 30 and get the aluminum chassis n side pods??

Will the Silencer fit the compoite chassis??

I think you might be right.
That would also make sense why the body posts didnt line up with the holes in the body......
Also the body the car came with looks just like the +8 body.....Not only dont i like that body, but the paint job on it is hideous. I cant drive that thing.

I guess im gonna have to buy a different chassis.
Being that i want to use the original cab back body, do i have to buy the aluminum v1 chassis??

Basically, whatever happens, I'm gonna go broke....

I get the chassis...then I'm gonna want to get the RDRP towers...then the other RDRP/Exotek stuff....brass....titanium etc....fuggedaboudit.
I would've been better off letting it collect dust....I just opened up a can of worms.
If the body had fit, I would've been good to go.....BUT....if I'm gonna have to start buying aluminum chassis', eh...why stop there.

It will fit in nice with the rest of the crew

Admitting you have an addiction is the first step in coping with it!
