Nice, thanks Fred. I thought that the LRC was an option part? Anything I have read says that you have to modify the chassis or the rear arms if you run the LRC hanger? I haven't don't either on any of my 210's. Sorry for the noob questions, I'm still new to the Durango cars.

The v2 comes with the -2mm hanger (LRC) as a standard part. While the other (HRC) is an option in aluminum. But you still should have the parts to run HRC by using the plastic part. See the parts tree below.

I'm making the assumption that both of your 210's are V2's. V1's came with the HRC block which is what I run.

I would just run the fastest ROAR approved motors out there, with the ceramics and 12.5mm rotors.
http://www.roarracing.com/approvals/...lessmotors.php

These are among the fastest that I have tested and ROAR approved. (not in any particular order in terms of speed)

Team Powers Actinium
Schuur Speed Extreme
Team Scream
D4
Ocra

I have tried other well know name brands. You just don't have the same torque - which allows you to run a really tall gearing, so it has great punch and good top end - which equates to about 1 sec or more slower per lap.

fredswain do you race at the new place in Houston called Club RC? Just saw a video from that place and it looks pretty nice.

It just opened and while I was there for the open house, I haven't been out to a race yet. My weekends are pretty tied up until about April sometime but I hope to soon. The track I liked here closed at the end of last summer so my testing has been in a makeshift testing area. The building and track are still there and I know the owner so from time to time I'll still sneak some time on it in spots even though it's out of business and not maintained.

Nice. Always hate when tracks close down but kinda cool you get some sneak testing in at it. Hope you get out soon to run.

Just getting into 2wd buggy so I picked up a used 210v1. Came with the dimec chassis also had 8 sets of wheels an tires and a extra dimec +8 chassis. I put a hobbywing sct pro esc, savox 1257tg, and a d3 8.5t motor geared 23/81. Drove it today could barely control it! Was like I was on ice! I haven't had a 2wd rc since 98. (never brushless) I have had 1/8th scale buggies. Is the 8.5 to much motor for a 2wd newb?

That's a lot of motor. Some run that much. Some run more. If you haven't run a 2wd buggy before or your last experience was with brushed motors and nicad batteries then it's probably a huge wake-up call. The D3.5 is also insanely powerful for what it is. Going down to a 13.5 may make learning a bit easier.

Yeah I only have the one V2, by other 210's I meant my Short Course and Stadium Truck. I bought both of them used and they came with the aluminum RR hanger but I don't know if they are LRC or HRC. Is there any way to tell what they are if they aren't marked with the -2?

If they are TD RR hangers and aren't marked -2, they are HRC.
There are 2 variations of the HRC mounts
Type B

Standard/Type A

I've had a very busy week so unfortunately no more work on the new 210 front shock tower design. I doubt I'll get to it this weekend either. I need to do some work on my 1/18 scale Latrax Rally first. I race those little things at an indoor track in a spec class. It's a lot of fun. I also need to do more work on my oval car design. I've got too many projects. I think I need to convince Chris that Durango needs a dirt oval car!

I would definitely be into that lol I finally got my dex210 v1/v2 were i want now and i'm trying to convert it to a stock class racer. I got the exotek direct spur mount, flight shaft, flight motor plate, shorty batteries, and titanium front axels and screws. I feel like i could knock off quite a bit more weight but dont know where yet. Do the B5m titanium turnbuckles work on this car, they are a LOT cheaper then the ones for the dex210
