I've used the avid triad slipper in my MM4 DEX210v2 and it's much more consistent and I did notice better acceleration. I was testing with a 6.5T mod motor though, so it's hard to tell if that extra at the bottom end of the power curve was from better slipper action or lower rotating mass. A little of both I would imagine. I'll be testing with a stock motor soon.

If you had this upgrade you could use the Schelle locker when you want to lock it up too. Get some red pads and you will have many tuning options.

You have to get the Type B dimec (med flex) or Type B dimec20 chassis (hard) which is a direct bolt onto the v2 car. I use the Dimec outdoors on low to med grip tracks, and Dimec20 on very hot days or high grip tracks. I prefer the flex of the plastic when running outdoors. Its more forgiving and easier to drive.

I only use the aluminum chassis in mid motor high grip situations.

Yes that is what I used on my car. Make sure you order the Red pads. I normally use 1 red pad in the center. As grip goes up, you can use 2 red pads. But if you have crazy grip, then get the locker from Schelle as well. Or you can try the Exotek option.

sorry to interrupt but why would you want to use a locker? I'm assming that locks your slipper and might cause damage?

I just started racing a dex210 and I have the avid/schelle slipper.

That is correct, not having a slipper can cause damage to your idler gears.

That's why I would recommend using at least 2 red avid slipper pads in stock 17.5 or 21.5. But in some cases, some people need to almost lock or lock their slipper on high traction surfaces in order to gain as much acceleration as possible - hence locking the slipper. The high turn stock motor can't generate a as much power anyways. Its landing on power that can wreck the idler gears in stock racing with a locked spur, or jamming the throttle when you are stuck on a pipe

Thanks for the reply Dino_D. Sounds like I need some red pads.

How do I get more in power steering on the long sweeper in my med grip dirt track?
Been running a full pack, considering a change to shorty. 32.5/30 wt oils, JC Rips and 3d's rear, mod MM4 setup. Any suggestions on droop changes front and rear and anti squat for a loose at times dirt track with one large jump and a couple of smaller jumps and table tops. Your suggestions would be welcomed.

I would leave the antisqaut at 1.5. That gives you a good balance of side bite and forward traction. If you go 3 antisqaut you will loose bite in corners but have better forward traction, going 0 will give more side traction in corners at the expense of forward traction.

The front droop is the biggest setting change that I do to tune my car to the track. I don't really touch any other setting but adjust the front droop first. Reduce droop, turning the screws in (front arms higher up) will give you a more direct steering feel. It will increase more on power steering. If you find the car having too much steering out of corners, then back off the droop screws to give more droop/suspension travel.

I normally run max droop in the rear, which gives you a lot of off power steering. If you find it too much, then you can always reduce 1-2mm in the rear.

Yeah if you run the stock white avid pads. The white pads will feel like you don't have power cause its slipping too much. That's why you need 1 or 2 reds in there to give you the punch out of corners in stock. Even run 3 reds if the grip is super high and you don't have a locker .

so I finally got my 210v2 running well last night at critters, but I could not get the car to turn. I drove my sons AE4.2 and that had tons and tons of steering but my car I had to wait for it to turn.

I am running box stock v2, with super soft IONs, mostly the same exact tire as everyone else including my sons car.

Any suggestion on how to dial some steering into this?

I took out some Toe in the rear. That helped alot. I also put the shocks on the rear of the tower and that made a ton of difference for me

How did you mount the Rear shocks behind the tower without the wing getting in the way ?

Cyofix : Yea in the beginning i dint have enough steering to i messed with the wheel spacers on the rear hubs to make the wheelbase shorter and went to the Rear hole on the steering rack for sure more steering . T

he +8 chassis takes away steering but much easyier to drive with !
