the new v2 body and the original +8mm cab forward body are the only 2 options (402012 or 402031)

I remember someone saying the Criterion fits as well from Hobby Pro I think? The Criterion? I know Fredswain runs it because he hates cab forward hahahaha

This one I think:

I didn't get one but I should. I'm going back to the short V1 chassis for carpet racing.

I make one for the v2. Check my albums. Its not a cab fwd or cab back. Kinda like an xray 8th.

I have the Durango non 8mm+ forward cab on my Durango V2 and it fits OK its a little bit tighter than the 8mm+ shell.

I reckon the original Dex210 shell would fit on the v2 also.

The V1 body doesn't fit the V2. It is too narrow.

A body being too wide isn't a problem. The question is why would anyone want to run a cab forward if the V1 body fits? There is no performance benefit and definitely no looks improvement. Can forward doesn't work. Period.

Yeah, the V1 bodies lines don't match the V2 side pods and doesn't sit right. It will work for the sake of using it but if you have the faintest case of OCD you will want a body that's designed for the V2.

It should fit the V2 side pods are wider and and the 8mm+ length is added between the front of the side pods and the back of the servo area.

The other thing is the shape of the side pods between v1 and v2 this is what I guess would cause the issue with a V1 shell being on a v2.

v1

v2

Yep, that bulge towards the front of the V2 pod holds the body out so it just doesn't sit into it right.

This is the original V2 cab forward body on my V1. Few millimetres between the body and the chassis, I was thinking about getting the V2 side pods to eliminate the gap. Not sure if they'll fit the V1 chassis though.
