thats saying a 5700, i think thats too much motor for a short track.

it all depends on what kinda voltage your planning on running.

in our redcat aftershock 8e, which is the same size, and class as the hyper10 sc 4x4.

it came with a 2300kv motor, and running it at 14.4 or 4s with both lipo packs in the truck its damn near undriveable on flat concrete.

were gona put 3s packs in it and only run one at a time so its down to 11.1 volt and more controleable.

I run the Novak HV 5.5 with a MMP ESC on 2s 40c 5000mah lipo and it works great. Now if i can just get a good setup for the rear end it would be sweet.

I race with a mamba speed control with the mamba 5700 with a 11 tooth pinion. It works great for me on a short course. Motor runs about 120. I use to run a 6900, talk about fast, I could do 360's on the front straght away.

What gearing are you running? I'm looking at picking one up and am thinking about either putting in a spare Vileneon or EzRun 5.5T in it.

I like the Vileneon idea since I have a spare waterproof Traxxas servo and receiver box but have the feeling the 5.5T will be a better match for the platform.
