If you feel like reading thru all the posts you can find some good things here.

You should be able to get parts from any major online RC store. Go to RC10.com, download the manual and parts list if you do not have it already, than go to Towerhobbies.com and enter the part numbers that you need. If they do not have what you need I am sure you can find it on ebay. It is still a pretty popular truck so you should have no problem.

Since you mentioned your car was older, then you're most likely referring to the RC10T3. The SC10 is a newer model of a short course truck based on Team Associated's RC10T4. Here is a picture of the RC10T3 :
NOTE: the truck pictured has several upgraded parts (referred to by Associated as Factory Team parts). Also, your truck might have come with different electronics.
If you're still located in Hartford, there's a hobby shop and indoor off-road and on-road track located in Brookfield, WI about 30 miles away.

There's practice all week, and off-road racing on Thursdays and Fridays (although, I think he has a different schedule for the holiday season).
If you have any questions about parts availability or about the car, stop by the store or call them at 262-783-4699.
