well i have a mx-3 fhss 2.4ghz and its takingl ike 5-10 seconds to bind. I turn the remote on thn i turn the esc on than the little red led on the receiver blinks and i dont have any controll for 5-10 seconds than it respondes. is this normal? thanks

Mine takes about 5 seconds.

It's normal. 2.4GHz systems usually takes a little while because it's not just locking onto a frequency, it's also locking onto a specific ID that is unique to each transmitter.
It's not like 27MHz or 75MHz band stuff, where it locks onto the strongest carrier that it's tuned (crystal) to...
That's why most brushless speedos have a lock-on delay setting just so the ESC would not arm itself before the receiver and the transmitter has a good wireless connection.
Things can happen if you don't delay the ESC's arming to come AFTER the receiver arms itself. Like your car taking off, off the bench!
