From what I've read from those that own both yes. Baja Rey been solid vehicle. Couple minor issues. Center diff hasn't been filled on most of them. It's not empty. Just grease didn't seem to fill as much as should.
Rear bearing has been a issue for some. Seems to only be from running 3s. I've just started running 3s on mine. Liked it enuff on 2s wasn't in rush to jump to 3s.

It's been broken most of the time that I've had it. No sealed RX box. It's a nightmare to work on. The upper rear links bend easily, with what I'd call normal use. The steering is sloppy. The front upper control arms are so flexible they might as well be called rubber not plastic. Just wish I never bought it,like the Yeti. Besides all that,I'll say that it is fun to drive when it's working.
