Default Kyosho Inferno VE need input please!!!

Do you folks think the RTR Inferno VE would be a good club level racer? Im looking to move my nephew to this class (1/8 E) and this car looks to fit my budget.

Heres my intent to help you help me!!!

Strictly for racing no bashing, got the slash and strike for that.
Primary track is not to big, has low 20s lap times, Chad Bradleys 1/8 nitro does it in the 18s.
Nephew is 10 and races spec slash hes a decent racer in that class.
We would use his spektrum 2.0 radio and reciever.

Thanks all

I would look int the HPI Vorza. The electronics(Castle MMM) are proven as well as the chassis(A D8 for the most part)

While there are better options out there, they cost considerably more. If the Inferno VE fits your budget, I think it'd be a fine purchase. The only thing that you'll likely replace is the steering servo linkage, but that's easy. I've got my friend looking into the VE also to get him into RCs.
