Default Which Charger???

Im a nitro guy never ran electric, well locally electric is huge atm. So im looking to run 1/18th late model, 1/10th sprint, 1/10th slash and maybe mod 1/10th truck. I plan to run lipos in all these since it seems the only way to be competive. Anyway i want to know what charger should i get. The local shop loves the venom pro, but ive read online its an overpriced chinese charger im willing to pay for quality escpecially if its made here in the good old USA but what charger should i be looking at? im a newb to lipos and electric in general.

I've read a lot of probs with the Venom Pro. Venom takes care of them, but you still have to put up with the hassle of getting it fixed. Not sure any of the modern chargers are USA made, think they're all imports.

Guessing you would be interested in AC/DC as well. This will handle 2S lipos up to 5000mah. It will charger up to 6S, but the charge current will be reduced making it take longer to completely charge lipo over 2S (3S and up). This is a balancing charger -

The last link for the AC6 is all you would need. This charger will do any battery on the market today. It too is limited to 50 watts, so if you want to charge huge batteries there is better choices. But if you will only be charging packs for the cars you mentioned it will do those as good as anything.

The Duratrax Onyx 230 is very popular at our track. Small, AC/DC, and has all the features you need except built in blancing. Great charger for the price.
