I'm happy about this release! I think we all knew this was coming eventually from some manufacturer! I'm happy for Traxxas to have all these hits. They started out as the little guy and brought so much to this industry, especially more people! The people who bash Traxxas just don't get what they're about.
Now we get to sit back and watch the other manufacturers scramble again to copy Traxxas and catch up to them!
I just wish Tamiya would get into this stadium truck game!
I'm surprised that this thing isn't more like a Revo/Slayer/1/16 Slash with the F1 style suspension setup!
How many parts do you think are carried over from the 2WD Slash?
The 4WD version looks much better. The paint and the wheels are much cooler IMO.

Looks wonderful. Hats off to Traxxas. While other manufacturers (except for maybe Ofna) saying "well ermm, we don't know if people would be interested," they really did listen to the few who wanted a 4wd CORR and can't wait for the Ofna version...
It looks awesome... Still, wish Traxxas would sell kits on the side, just at a lower volume, but nevertheless, rollers so we can transfer our electronics.
2.4GHz is great, but a crap radio is still a crap radio...
I don't know what everyone's fear is with this class. Did 4WD buggies kill 2WD buggies? No, they both co-exist. In fact, 2WD buggies are still a more popular class... 4WD vehicles are a pain the butt to maintain.

Very well said

I like it. Just another thing I want to add too my collection. As far as it killing off 2wd SCT I doubt it. 2wd and 4wd co exists in full scale. Why not in rc. I can see it doing damage to the 2wd and 4wd buggy and truck class. Like it or not the SCT class is still the biggest growing class out there. They are affordable to anyone and very competitive. Good job Traxxas. Be prepared for the onslaught from the other manufactures to catch up if this takes off like the Slash 2wd did.

Cool, but will this class take off like the original slash did?
We wont know until people start showing up with these at the track.
If it is over 350 dollars people will look into something else.
It wouldnt be fair to run this with the other sct trucks being 4wd.
People thought the 1/16 slash class would take off, but it didnt.

This is exactly what the SCT class needed. It's not a modified Revo. The chassis design is better than I expected. I am definitely getting this when it is out. I will stick to both Stock Slash and 4WD Slash with this. The design would be easily changed to fit the 8th scale buggy class too. I would expect this to cost more than the Rustler VXL. I would guess $399.

It does not have the stuff hanging all underneath it like the Slash and features a lower center of gravity than anything else on the market with a redesigned chassis.
It will take CORR to the next level of racing!

That thing is awesome. I was originally getting a Strike or SC10 to race with my son's SC10 but not anymore. 4X4 Slash here I come. I would expect $399 since electronics/battery would be in the ball park of $250. Either way I would bet a lot of kits will be broken up and sold in pieces on EBAY. I would bet those wanting a brand new roller would find them on EBAY shortly after release date.

Classic case of too many fanboys and not enough bandwidth.
This one is definitely going to replace the 2wd Slash or SC10 (still hadn't decided yet, guess I don't have to now) on my wishlist.

No way under $300. Think about it, current 2wd rtr is $200, a VXL is $160, and the 2.4GHZ is $120. That all alone is $480...of course all as a package it would be cheaper, but I don't see making it 4wd and being almost $200 cheaper would be possible. I guess it could be. If this thing comes out at $300 I would imagine they will....slash...haha the current Slash prices quite a bit. Maybe I'm just a nut, but who would pay $200 for a brushed, 2wd, FM radio truck when for $100 more you get 4wd, brushless, a battery, and 2.4ghz?
