Watch for the Mamba Max Pro if you have time. Otherwise get a matched set. Tekin RS systems should be back in stock most places soon as well.

i think im staying with the mamba max with the vxl motor idea for right now my buddy has that combo and it is insane. he had the 4600, the 5700, and the 7700 all in his slash and they all eventually overheated and blew up he has the vxl in there and no problems

This could save you the money on the 17mm hex;s and buggy wheels. J concepts has wheels and goosebump or bowtie tires to fit.

Weight don;t worry about making it so light if it is brushless you will need some weight in the right places. Moveable weight is not bad.

Chrome bumper? Bumper with lights? these things are not (in my opinion) going to look very nice after some serious racing. Could be left out.

I like to keep the motor and esc as a combo = same make, that may not mean a thing but, if you have trouble with one or the other the manufacture can't blame the "other" part as the reason it failed.

This is your truck build how you want !! and HAVE FUN
just to add on to u when im done i wont need that many more parts to build another stock slash so i got 2 for 1 here

Not really two for one. More like 2 for the price of 5. If you where going to do this from the start than you should have saved your money, bought all the peices, then just got a tranny and put it on. The initial cost of the slash would be cut out. I see a lot of this as just throwing away money, but I was 14 once too and did build a full alloy mini t :/ Who's paying for all this? Can I be adopted by your parents?

Transmission has held up fine, even with the slipper locked for wheelies

The transmission required a bit of shaving, nothin 10 minutes and a dremel cant accomplish...

Dont get so defensive. Sheesh. Some of us just look and see money that could be well spent in other places. Even on another rc.

That's why it is a hobby, and not a necessity. Money is "thrown out" every day by all of us.

Had to shafve the transmission slightly..

But it woks and works well.
