No matter where you get the screw, the best way to be safe is to remove the slider block, put the screw thru & make sure that you measure 4 too 5 mm of screw sticking out the motor side of the block. Use a little loctite when you mount the motor.
I would consider it but the only request for the mount is from you , so unless there's major demand I will stick with current models only..But I do know for a fact that the screw hole pattern are identical between XB8 & 808, the only difference between the 2 is height, nothing a couple of shims can't fix. Please check the Xray forums for more detail..
Thanks,
Brandon
Brandon...i looked at the Xray forums and found out that people have bought your 808 mounts and used them on the XB8. All that had to be done was they added 3mm of shims on the mount to make it work.
After finding this out, it looks like I will be ordering one of your 808 mounts.
Any ideas for a good battery tray though?

I cant wait till the RC8B and T mounts are done. The associated mount is a pain to work on.

How long are the screws your using? You need to have 5mm (no more) of screw going into the motor. I used 15mm screws if I remember correctly. I ask because I & a few others have not had this problem.
no i stripped the hex heads

Not sure about mammoth, never had the chance to examine one, I think you might have to do some research and see which mount has the same hole location..

Like the design of the mounts. please be as revolutionary about the battery mount. I know right now we got some ppl that like long battery mounts and get heli lipos to keep down CG and mount ESC on center diff for added cooling thru front window (sorta compensation for that bad CG but ESC much lighter than tall lipos) Then others like the short stubby and tall packs that allow room for esc to be next to it. Your thoughts? Also, with many club races making us do battery changes in 20+ min races and even eduros any thoughts on a quick change battery tray?
On a recent 4 hr enduro I ran the gas guys with drive up and refuel pited twice for each one of our battery changes (every 15min) for 5sec vs. our 30sec battery change. so 5secx2=10sec for them giving us a 20sec disadvantage x 15 battery changes=300sec loss. lap times were avging 32sec or 9 lap lost to us. Interestingly 1st and 2nd place were only 1 lap apart after 4hrs and we came in 3rd 9 laps behind 2nd. so if we had a fast battery change we would have really been in the running for 1st on that alone. Ya im crying sour grapes but the math made me wonder what coulda been. lol
I'm using the screws from Brandon, no problems here.
you dont want to long screws, if they hit the bobine your done.
Also Brandon, i hooked you up with a distributor from France, you happy with that?
Oh that was you who recommended me, thanks a lot brother Yeah I shipped them like 25 mounts yesterday, the owner is a really nice guy, we'll be doing more business in the near future..
Once again thank you, email me on your next purchase I'll take care of you

Hi Jason, please look on page 7, I have some cad images of my soon to be released battery tray..I understand your concerns, the main importance of a balanced setup is to have as much weight pushed to the center as possible & keep the weight as low as possible, but with limited space it is really hard to achieve the setup I want..I will be coming out with my own chassis pretty soon, and hope to achieve the balance I want..
I am disappointed with many companies just coming out with all these electric vehicles/conversions with not much thought put into it.. but with the electric class growing tremendously it will push companies to bring out finely tuned electric vehicles.., as for now it's my job to start the revolution

My MBX6 mount will work, Inferno GT/777/ST-RR share the same mounts..
My Mugen/Kyosho(Myogen) motor mounts are SOLD OUT!
I only have a few D8 mounts left & have a decent amount of Xray 808 mounts.
I am in the process of making:
RC8/T mounts
Losi 8ight/T mounts
MP9 mounts
& more Myogen mounts..
Please do not ask me when, I will keep you guys updated, just please be patient. Trust me I want to release them as soon as possible..
Battery trays should be ready in a week or 2, I will update with details & pictures as soon as I finish the prototype..
Once again, thank you for your support, I know I may be slow with production but you have to realize that I am a one man show, quality is what I try to achieve so please do not try to rush me, in the end you'll be happy with your purchase
