I am looking for a brushless setup for short course sc10, will be running in 17.5 class, what are peoples recommendations on which setup to go with?

If you're on a budget (who isn't these days) Havok is tough to beat for the money. If you have a bottomless wallet get a Tekin system. IMO unless you're a hardcore racer Tekin is overkill, as most peoples driving is more the limiting performance factor than the esc.

Thanks for the reply.. I see you can get the havok pro with balistic motor for 195, can get the gtb 17.5 setup for 199.00 or the normal havok and ss pro for 149.00 between these which would you go with? I will be running lipo packs

I don't really see any real advantage with the GTB (I have 2 gtb's and a havok) in a 17.5 class. I don't know the specs on the havoc pro off hand but unless you start running lower turn motors, 6.5 and less, I don't see a need for the GTB.

Yeah it will just be in a sc10 17.5 class.. eventually I may run it in mod class, but still would not be as low as 6.5 I am sure.

If you want to compete with the top guys in the A the tekin RS with a novak 17.5.
If you are not running at that level then a Havok/ss17.5 combo will be just fine.

Secret magic in the Tekin with their dual-drive system. Check out their website. If you're budget minded go with the Novak GTB. It is about as bullet proof as they come. If you want the latest and greatest set up, Tekin is the way to go.
