I would pull it out and sell it as soon as you get it. They sell really well on ebay.

The ESC is known to be crap. I went through 2 before getting the 3rd and selling it. I got the Mamba ESC and have not looked back.

With the MMM esc is it still a good idea to keep a spare or is it reliable enough that I would be safe to sell the Losi when I get it back?

That's a good question. Anyone have an answer? Did you get your MMM yet?

I killed a MMM V.3 when I flatlanded. They are sending me a new one.

I killed an Xcelorin ESC tha same way though so its hard to tell you. If you dont mind having a $169 part waiting around in case the other goes bad then keep it.

I think the trick might be to put servo tape on the ESC and where you will mount the ESC on the buggy, and then put velcro over both. This might provide enough padding to save eather ESc from dying on hard impact. I learned the hard way that using the Traxxas mount on my 8E sends the shock of an impact right in to the ESC, harming it.

Yes I received it and it is awesome. I am having a slight temperature problem that I need to work out. Is everyone else using fans to keep their cc motors cool or is there another secret? Mine was hitting 160's.

Cool.. I also purchased my Mamba Monster 2200kv combo today. Ditched that Xcelorin ESC and motor.. wow what a difference in speed and smoothness.
