Lipo or Nihm for my traxxas stampede

That information about the XL-5 ESC has been on there for over a year and has not changed there is a possibility that they have made the necessary changes and just have not updated the website. Im not calling you a liar or anything, and i know where it says that it wont work on the site but it works 100% for me

Anyway , NIMH will be your way to go , without buying a new ESC .

Whatever, I have given my 2 cents. It works.

Well thanks for the help and arguments! jk.
I can easily go 2 cell lipo if I want, i'll jus get a portable voltage checker and monitor it or get a lipo alarm.

Oh, I alreaady know that. do you guys think an 8 cell 4000mah nihm pack or a 2 cell 3000-5000 lipo pack would be better? The 8 cell would be faster but it weighs a lot more.

I believe I read that it will handle 8 cell nihms and the guys at the hobbytown said it would.
Can anyone concur?
also, if I go 2 cell lipo, what c rating? 20C, 25C or 30c? Any why?

It's got the same tranny as the brushless version, which can handle 3-4 cell lipos at 11.1-14.8v lol.

i know briguy is tired of me running my mouth im sure but the tranny shouldnt have any problems i have ran 5s before. yeah i know stupid all it did was backflips in mid air when u kit the throttle i finally got it to stay down put 2 pounds of lead on the front of it and still flipped it over at 62 mph at quarter throttle
