Default Finished Assembly of my Hyper 9E

Just finished this afternoon, Happy to report this is a well built buggy and engineering is excellent. I torn it down completely to change diff viscositys to
5K/F-5K/C-3K/R and checked all the hardware. It was all tight and loctite was used everywhere. They did a great job at the factory.
Set up is as follows; NEU 1515-1Y & M.M.M. geared 40/13,weight is 7.5lbs w/4000mah 4s and body,JR DS8711,Spektrum. Anxious to see how it performs with these 17mm bore shocks ?

It looks awsome!

Is that center shaft solid or hollow? It looks crazy with that long shaft in the middle.

Thank You, I'm sure it's solid steel to hold up the BL power.

Very nice....clean build and layout.

I think the center shaft was aluminum. I had it out at some point, didn't feel like steel.

Default Motor support?

Checking the picture again, I'm curious what that is under the rear of your motor.

I ended up with a motor that doesn't fit the 36mm heatsink / support that's in the kit, was wondering what others were doing.
Is this something you fashioned yourself? I assume it wouldn't be a good idea to rely on the front aluminum mount to hold the weight of the motor without support to the rear.

It's a motor support brace from a Losi 8E, part #LOSA4462
Next time I have the motor out I'm gonna file off the fins so I can slide the the plastic mount entirely underneath the motor.

Thanks for the compliments fellas, hoping to test and tune Weds.

The highly polished look has fooled me then, but the Dogbone pins HAVE to be Steel though.

Yeah those bodies are ugly. The team guys are running the Proline's crowpleaser from the hyper 9 nitro kit. Those look a lot better.

To each his own, I like the design of this body. Wished it fit the chassis better, but I like like it.
FYI, it's a Proline body .
