What do you think of it so far? How good are the carbide V-blocks?

I feel alittle bad as I was talking to the hobby shop owner to get his lathe off of him but I saw a good deal on it ( finally came in stock ) and had to get it right then and there. It didn't have a diamond bit but it cut really true and I know it has been used a lot. If it was sharpened I am not sure. If he did that, maybe I can pay him to sharpen my bit when the time comes.

What motor are you using to power it? Since I have a 4 cell pack, I am just going to use a traxxas stinger motor, seemed to work good for other lathes I know people have had.

On my orion lathe, i tossed out the stock unit and added an old modify motor. I power my lathe with a orion motor checker so I can limit the current that going into my motor.
