How durable is the SC10, I am deciding between that truck, the slash or go with the blitz. What do you guys think, I know that you cant win races if you break haha. Lemme know what your opinions are. Thanks it woul help alottt!

Well duriablity wise the Slash would be the most. If your looking for a good race truck then SC10 or Blitz would be best bet. I have run both and SC10 is more a race vehicle.
Some say the slash is more durable, but its all about how you take care of your truck. If your going to beat the snot out of them they will all break, as each one has week points.
Slash is more popular as it started the sc craze, the sc10 is more of a racer.

Just want to add if you are willing to put the time and effort in then the slash is very race worthy. I have done mutliple changes to it and now its a new car(shock oil, diffs, ride heights, pistons, shock spacers, body clearance...). The stock spec class is very popular and I know I am going to run that for a LONG time. Its fun, competative, everyones on the same level(no 40 yr old guys with $300 tekin bl system racing a teenager with a chinese brushless system). best of all hardly anyone breaks!
I'd go with a slash then if you want to up the racing and go to pro mod get a sc10.
Like many have stated, out of the box the Slash is more durable but not a very good racer. The SC10 is not as durable, but an awesome racer.
W/ a little extra work, the SC10 can be very durable. Replace the front A-arms w/ GT2 or RPM arms and then add a chassis brace will make the SC10's durability very close to the Slash.
Can't comment on the Blitz, but it looks to have a good combination of durability and racability.

I am going to buy some better parts for the SC10 and see if I can keep the front end on. At our track (hot rod hobbies) I like how the Slash Jumps for Me. Out of the last twelve weeks of racing in our OSC class stock slashes have won ten times and the SC10 twice. So I would say the Slash races just fine with a good driver. The new losi truck got lapped two weeks ago with Adam Drake driving after bumping up from the B.

I disagree, the SC10 has a few weak areas(front a-arms, rear wheels, chassis), but let's be honest. I too am a Slash owner and it too has some very questionable areas in the durability dicussion. The hear hubs, the shocks, the spur gear, and the rear hinge pins are all areas that have had repeated failures.
Neither truck is perfect and IMO, the SC10 just requires less effort to strengthen and to race. That doesn't mean that those who willing to put in the required effort to get the Slash racable are not or can not be compedative in racing, or that the SC10 can't be a tough rig.
Case in point.

Well 5 days into getting the SC10 RTR my son broke the right front a-arm and the shock cap.
It was actually a thing of beauty. He came off of a jump and just glanced off of a pole. The wheel hooked the pole but the body missed. The truck kept on flying straight and landed flat. Upon landing the tire rolled under the truck breaking off the tab on the shock cap. It skidded for about 5 more feet before stopping.
I was directly in front of the truck and saw the whole thing. I just wish I had video running. It was cool, except for the fact that he was then without his truck.
The LHS didn't have the parts so he was out of luck. I contacted AE but the parts are not covered under any warranty. I eventually broke down and bought the RPM GT2 front a-arms to get him up and running, they are so beefy compared to the stock arms.
His cousin has had a Slash for 8 months and beats the crap out of it. The Slash seems to strip spur gears for him about once a month. The other parts he has replaced were one rear hub carrier and one servo gear (used the gear kit to fix). The Slash is definitely more durable but my son is generally a good driver and I wanted something that handles a little better.
Does the SC10 gearbox have plastic instead of metal like the slash and blitz. Also, will this charger charge the SMC 7.4v 5200 Lipo? I really like this charger. Please let me know cuz im out of a charger as of right now.
