Another big factor is that stock or mod truck might die off this season in my area because everyone's running 2wd, 4wd, SPEC CORR, or Mod CORR.
I would like to get one of these bad boys too. I am thinking the Mod Corr class might cut into the Mod truck turnouts though. I hope not but we'll see. I hope we get to see that RT5 this weekend!!!!

Great thread! Truck looks like it's going together really well. If I may, I'd like to request a picture. Since the manuals are not online yet, I'd like to get a picture of the body illustration to make a paint template. Thanks!

A little birdie told me that you will have a manual in hand, if you need it, by the 29th.

I am glad to help!

btw I went with ceramic diff balls just because I had them, might as well use 'em!

The stock body even looks nice, gotta throw some stickers on it and I will snal a pic or two, just waiting for my wheels to come in as I prefer yellow wheels over the white ones it comes with!

Good to hear! How far off into the build are you in right now? Have you encountered any problems?

I had only 2 hicckups in the build, the first was I forgot to add the weight to the front end before I assembled it, easy fix, tore it down and threw the weight in. The second was I had to trim some material off the bulkhead cause the rack was hanging up a little. Otherwise it was an awesome build! Just need to get electronics in and I am good to go!

The body looks good too! Excellent for a "stocker"! But when J Concepts makes a body I will get one for sure!

Ok, how much lead weight did you put up front? I'll check the bulkhead and see if the rack clears properly otherwise do the trim as you did?

BTW, did you use the stock shock oil included in the kit? I noticed all the springs are black? Does the manual state the spring rate of it?

I hope you don't mind the twenty questions ......

I know with the springs they have a number etched or printed on to them (hacker07 has some pics of them in the RT5 thread) and all of the springs will be black. Also it woulf be a good idea to color code them (record the color used on the spring on some paper as well) some place with some nail pollish, or some type of paint (just enough so you can tell them apart) for if the number wears off (casper said it first in the RT5 thread, although I know I would have thought of it sooner or later once I got my truck).

Thanks carbon for the heads-up and tips. BTW, where's the best place to get spares for this truck e.g. front arms, rear arms etc. ?
