Alright, riddle me this. It appears to only have a 2 or 3 cell lipo in the pics on the site. Most people use atleast 4 or 5 cell packs. I have also tried to find packs that are 140mm or less, hard to find.
I really don't get having motor and battery on one side of the chassis?????

Durable composite 1/8 scale chassis are the new wave about to hit. I'm sure of it.
just wondering do you own a 5s or 6s car with a proper lower kv motor to fit the application? I've switch from 4s 2200kv to 5s 1700kv in my truggy and the only difference I've notice was better efficiency/operating temps. its not "crazy uncontrollable torque" like you've described in fact 2200kv on 5s was more of a handful then the 1700kv.
I run 4s, but have driven Neu 1515 (I think the 2.5D) on 5s and it was a monster! My friend's truggy on CC/Neu 2200kV on 4s is already difficult to control with punch set low. The fronts will already lift easily. The truggy on 5s Neu was insane...any somewhat hard pull of the throttle past 60% or so would lift the front. I agree, 2200kV on 5s is even crazier, but that's running it beyond it's nominal rpm range. I've run the 2000ish kV motors in 4s, 5s, and 6s and they get progressively harder to control. My point is that lighter weight vehicles just don't need the type of power available from the large low kV motors. But people should get what they like. But for a kit to come out and support what works best, IMO, in it's application I think is fine.

Most brushless kits out there are only 140mm long, that is the average length of a 2S/3S/4S battery. Sure if you plan on running 5500mah+ the length will be longer but chances are those batteries aren't ROAR legal which is why most companies just stick with 140mm, only kits that usually use bigger are monster trucks (Savage Flux, E-REVO etc. as they aren't built for racing)

Well thats the problem. A 2000'sh motor spins too many rpms for 5s let alone 6s. Im not trying to be rude here but you are giving out false info.
Obviously if you use the same motor and go to from a 3c to 4c to 5c it is going to get harder to control. Check Rc-Monster, those guys run nothing but electric in 1/8 and the trend seems to be going to a higher voltage battery and a lower KV motor since it is more efficient, hence cooler. My point is that is not an option with this car. Dissapointing.

I can only think of one other car that has that short of a battery tray and that is the AE conversion. Nobody cares about ROAR when it comes to 1/8th buggies! Buggies that have longer battery boxes included, Losi, RC-Monster, RCPD, Tekno, and Ofna. We run our buggies with the nitro buggies and a 2S or 3S setup just isn't going to hack it.

I run 6S/2600mAh, 1400Kv in a buggy. My car is the smoothest most controlable at the track. It's also one of the lightest at 7Lbs/4 to 6oz. It will run 15 minutes at most tracks & never even get warm.
As for the Ve8, Josh Alton & his brother Jake have been running these cars at NorCal hobbies for a few months now and if they are out of balance you sure could not tell by the way they go around the track. They seem to have very high corner speed and do very well.
