Mamba Max Pro Price
Can someone explain why the Mamba Max Pro is cheaper than the Mamba Max

The Mamba Pro was really designed as a sensored/sensorless controller for the masses -- inexpensive to build, very durable. But it has a big footprint.
MMP takes about 1/2 the hand-work time of MM, and because of new chips, has a lower total cost to build.

Got one on order. Hopefully it will be shipped in mid August.

I have to guess it is just about ready. The Beta Testing forum is closed.

A lot of the fixed costs come from the initial development of the software/ hardware. The variable costs that makes up most of the rest of the MM is the number of FETS. The original MM had 36 and they reduced it down to 30. The pro looks to have even fewer fets and used the idea that the MMM has to use fets on one side of the board and to have a better scheme to reject the heat developed from the fet.
Overall, the pro looks very good on the track at a nicely reasonable cost for its capability.
