Well, I guess depends if your going race and if the track combines the two. If they do then sc10 hands down. It''s based off the T4 and not a Stampede. You can upgrade it too with the Factory Team T4 stuff and it's only about $10 or so bucks more.

Now if its just bashing then maybe the slash cause you can even get parts at Pep Boys for it.

slash, cause the sc10 drivers feel horrible when they get beat by a slash. and its almost indestructable.

depends on wat you are going to do with it. if you are going to bash and have fun with freinds i would sugest the Slash. this is because the trucks is apparently more durable and cheaper to get parts for. if you are going to race i would get the SC10. this is a very race read car due to it being based off of the T4. this is a very good and reliable car and am waititng to get my one. we had a demo of these at the Rockhampton rc truck (rockyrc.net). and all of us nitro heads had a great time trying to control a 2 wheel drive car around a 1/8 nitro engines.Sc10 took some very heavey hits and bumps and still came back for more. VERY VERY good truck. parts are easy to get and is very upgradable. awsome car can't wait for my club to start racing with more than just two sc10's

can't wait

I've worked extensively with both cars, and they're both good. I find the Slash to be beefier but less refined in terms of handling. The SC10, on the other hand, is more prone to breakage if you bash it hard, but has better tuning options and has a much tighter feel to it.

Default slash vs sc10

pretty much what your hearing is slash for bashing and sc10 for racing, however if your local track supports spec slash then it's a good program to get started with.if no on spec racing i would go with the sc10, when i was racing at westcoast in la mirada ca, i was running a slash in spec and i would have to round my turn at the sweeper, i had to be extra careful so has not to flip over, the sc10's in open korr truck could easily just pitch sideways to make that same sweeper, honestly you want to round your corners ,but your on your toes when driving the slash.now does anyone run their slash's against the sc10 in open korr truck, i'am curious to know if associated silver will fit onto the traxxas shock, the white traxxas spring is not firm enough.

slash RTR= ready to replace
SC10 TTR= tune to race

we'll see about that at the next race, my SC is dialed. and it TQ'd the last carson city race as well with a full field of slash's

sir miles, the set up on the SC will make the biggest difference between the 2. there is a baseline set up for the SC that works very well (i can e-mail it to ya), i raced a faster SC, but beat him cause of the handling of mine.

SC10 all the way.

the slash is garbage. they sound terrible and they have no suspension. when they land a jump all you hear is they pounding into the ground.
the sc10 is smooth, quiet, and has suspension. it is more realistic and it is associated. sc10 all the way.

I race my slash and I really love the thing. There is a part of the track where it does and X and people often collide in mid air and I have myself been collided with/collided with someone 5 times and I haven't broke anything(stripped on spurgear in the past month of hard racing and bashing). Really don't like the trans/spur gear because the screws leave indents in the trans and it makes it hard to mesh. The slash can be a capable racer if you know how to set it up right. SLASH ALL THE WAY IF THERE IS A STOCK SPEC!

If you wanna bash get the Slash or Losi
If you want to race get the SC10 or the new HPI.

I run in the MORL race series here in the midwest and they have a seperate Spec class for Slash. Otherwise they would get slaughtered in the SC class by the 17.5 motored SC10's. I can post results w/lap times for proof. Slashes are welcome in the SC class without the Titan 550 can. They can run 17.5 or 27t.

As for durablity. I haven't broke anything on my SC10. I've got about 5-6 race days on it and shockingly to me. It's held up well. Maybe I'm lucky.

I saw Traxxas trucks blow shock caps, steering spindles, and rear hubs at the last race. Hell my buddy Todd even fried a newer spec motor before he took a hot lap in the spec Slash A-main.
