hi, i have a few questions, i am getting this buggy and want to do some things to it.

I herd that the odonnell zo1b big bores would work is this true?

What is the part number for a steering servo arm? (to replace the z bend)

Do i have to add weights to the ve?

Thanks.

hi i brought 2 VE's and i can not be more happy, i payed 375$ a piece new. me and my son race em outside, they are great because they dont need alot of maintenaice compared to 1:10 buggy's. and its RTR just put in some lipos and you are away.
i normally race TC, so i have 5 2s lipos, and the battery tray works like a charm, its realy nice that you can use bullet connecters on the batteries.

i just did something not so smart, its been minus 10 degree celcius since chistmas and got tired of waiting, i noticed that they are kindy waterproof and we went out to drive in the snow, and my sons ESC burned, i guess it wasnt completly waterproof (i dont think kyosho said they where) but my own car was fine, and anyway, i ordered a tekin rx8 with a 2050 kv set for mine and my son can get the orion set that works.. (hope the tekin fits). but just for fun, have kyosho made them dust proof or water proof (hint... any warrenty)?

its a realy nice driving machine, and im impressed with its ability to stay level at high speed on a cow field with snow.. and its absolutly worth every penny i paid..

How do these run on 3S? I was looking at getting one for my son and was only wanting to run it on 3S?

Well, they're designed to run on a pair of 2S packs. You could run them on a 3S, but the performance would be just OK. the Kv of the motor is 2050, which is right in the range for 4S. You might consider going to a 2600-2800 with a 3S pack, but then the extra expense might justify the standard set-up. What's the pupose of wanting to run on 3S? Just curious.

That's fine, ill just run 4S. Was going to run 3S as I got some 3S batteries sitting here and I thought it may be more controllable. Was going to purchase 4S down the track when he got use to running in 3S.

That'll work. It's got pretty good performance with the 4S pack. Maybe it's not a bad idea to start with 3S until he's comfortable with the controls. That makes sense.

Wow, where did you get them for that price? That's almost dealer cost.

Its a good idea to keep any high power electronic items dry unless they are specifically waterproofed.
