Are the PSM or factoryrc shock towers any more durable?

You didn't?!

I did buy the PSM front 4mm shock tower but haven put it on yet. The carbon weave and appoxy resin look of high quality...

I did have my first legitimate breakage yesterday, I randomly broke a front cvd, no crash... luckily I had a spare....

I dont know how my second tower broke. I was at a new track and taking it easy. double singling the triple and so on. I few traction rolls and minor pipe tapping. My daughter had a cf tower on her 22 for a year and she was plowing pipe and smashing into crap and it never broke. I am have broke 2 yok tower in 4 weeks.... The CF just seems kinda weak. I will order a PSM to try.

When you get any new carbon parts especially towers, you've got to seal the edges with CA. The first thing that often happens in a CF part failure is delamination. You may not even see it if you're not looking for it. Once it starts, it really can't be stopped.

Ca the parts with thin CA glue, sand smooth and knock off any sharp edges.

Don't feel bad, I had a friend snap a pair of the Yok towers also, seemingly not hitting anything too hard himself.

I've been using the Factory RC towers without issue so far.

Where did did the tower break? I put aluminum washers on both sides of of the shock standoff so the force of of a crash would be spread out at at the shock mount.....

Yeah it was pretty good. Trying to get the slipper tight. Was too tight and doing wheelies. Then too loose and had no pop. Also brake settings are critical with a center slipper. But i like the car. Going to glue my sidewalls for ars this weekend. Traction there is stupid

We have crazy grip at our track too and slipper and brake setup is super important. A friend of mine got me into using double sided 3M tape to put in between the the foam and the rim to reduce movement of the foam which help to keep the tire from rolling over the edge of the rim. It really helps keep the tire from tearing off the rims and keeps the car more stable at higher speeds.....

Finally finished building my Bmax4 III. I will be racing on carpet and am using Lee Martins EOS setup. There was a few things that I could not find pictures of for reference, like the cut 15 degree caster block and wheel spacing with the YZ 2 arms on the rear. On the set up sheet for rear spacing it calls for the 6mm hex and a 1.5 mm spacer. After some research I found the YOKBM-011S spacer set is 1.5 mm. The car has full titanium screws and ball studs and weights 1734 grams.
