Order up the "hard" wishbones. Same part no. but with an "H" at the end.

The harder Yokomo arms don't actually snap easier like the "hard" arms do on almost every other brand I'm aware of?

I was wondering the same thing. The B5 "hard' arms break pretty much on any decent hit.

ordered some new parts from amain. But this confuses me. $4 for rear arms, $6 for front arms, $13 for CF front tower.... $10 for a spur gear.......haha, wtf.

Their pricing makes even less sense when buying yokomo parts from them on the distributor side.

The spur gear price is not out of line with other machined ones, i.e. a couple bucks more than the JC machined ones; 50% less than Durango's and so on. Over 25 racedays on my car now, many on carpet, and I've worn out one Yokomo spur gear.

ok, they are machined? It didnt say that and it looked molded to me. Did they mold the gear then machine it? The 4 dimples make it look like it was molded.

The white ones they ship out now don't have the dimples or any trace of molding or at least mine didn't. At first, I was alarmed when I got a white instead of black spur but it's turned out to be nearly indestructible (knock on wood... ).

So I order this part and you are saying your what white machined? I just ordered it as a spare in case the motor comes loose and trashes the spur.

I use an 81 but you will probably get a white one. Rolling change, same part numbers.

Clint posted a pic of one here from when I was asking about it myself: http://www.rctech.net/forum/13861799-post2140.html

I believe I read about the switch to machined on Oople or something similar but I can't find that right now to totally confirm it. With Yokomo, ymmv always.

I know exactly what you mean, but this is a good thing. It feels as though no two kits are the same, but wouldnt you have a manufacturer that addresses issues as soon as they're aware of them. Or even offers upgrade parts "just because"? I think its sheer class. Are ther any other manufacturers that do this?

The "hard" arms are a worthy change, they do stand up to greater abuse. I wasnt too impressed with my front durability to begin with, but its now much better.
