Default E-revo batteries

I just found a nice 11.1 volt battery for a traxxas 4900 mah, it's a lipo battery too. I was just wondering if you could run it on a 1/16 e-revo. It's a 3 cell by the way.

So you can run 3s on a stock e-revo? Also can you run lipo on a stock e-revo? Because I fond some lipo esc speed controllers.

Your orig ques was on the 16th E-Revo which comes witha 2S and 3S rated VXL brushless setup. The Stock E-Revo is diff, it runs brushed motors with the brushed evx-2 esc.

Most run a pr of 2S lipos in the stock E-Revo - the esc puts them in series for the equivalent of 4S. If you're asking about a pair of 3S lipos with stock wiring - no, you can't thats the equivalent of 6S at the esc (25.2v).

You have to add some kind of low voltage cutoff to prevent the lipos from being overdischarged and possibly damaged if you're going to use them in a strock E-Revo.

Yea I think I get it now. With that 11.1 3s lipo that's the most that I can run on my vxl at one time.

4900mah sounds a little high. I would make sure the dimensions are correct to fit in the 1/16th E-Revo. I think the biggest 3 cell lipo so far that fits a 1/16th E-Revo is a 1600mah. Of course, you can always run it in parallel to get more run time.

I'd have to agree. Monitor your temps or you may overheat before using all of that battery.

I would go to www.maxamps.com. They have lots of selections and you can customize your batteries. I would go with a 3s 11.1v 4000mah battery but it'll probably be about $135 plus shipping. You might need to run a different gear in the car if you run a 3s lipo and such a high voltage
