Default New to 1/8 electric, few questions?

Well I converted my 8ight over to electric and am running 2650 Mamba Monster. What brand of pinions do you all use?? Are you running the same diff fluids that you would run in nitro??

I always ran the same set up on both my Losi cars, (nitro and electric).

I run www.rc-monster.com pinions

Same setup and I use Novak pinions. The 3 packs are a good deal.

I agree on both 3S lipo for 2650 and www.rc-monster.com brand pinions.

Why is that? I bought the Zippy 4 cell 5000mah 25c for it, should I reconsider?

That motor is brutally fast on 4s. If you are racing it will be too much. On 4s you will be pushing about 39,000 RPMs. It is a much more controllable setup on 3s which is similar to nitro speeds. However, if you use 3s make sure you get the best cells money can buy and at least 6000mah. The amp draw with a motor that powerful is hard on the batteries.
