I tried the T4 with the inline axles this past weekend. Must say that I like it much, MUCH better that way. Much more responsive, quicker to execute steering input, and honestly if feels like it jumps and lands better with this set up.
I actually broke my truck for the first time also. Landed on a piple coming off of a double jump and broke a rear suspension arm. Fortunately there were parts on the wall for it, which wasn't a sure thing since I one of the few people there who run the T4.

Thats wierd that you are one of the few there areat your track. i have a tone of poeple with t4 at my track. where do you race?
