Default Brushless ESC for rustler

Need some opinions.

Vxl or xbr w/13.5? This is for bashing and maybe racing once in a blue moon What are the pros and cons of each? Also, are there different models for the vxl, and if so, what are the differences? Thanks in advance!

get a vxl 3500. There are two diffrent models of the vxl, one is the 1/10th scale and one is the 1/16 scale model. The vxl will provide you with more power and torque than the 13.5. Temps are great on the vxl even with a 3s lipo if geared right.

+1 to the vxl. Highly recommend the esc fan too. Buy VXL and never look back

Another vote for the VXL. You can run sensored or sensorless motors so that's' a plus.

Did you guys ever think that the day would come we would prefer to run a Traxxas esc over a Novak? I didn't but I have seen to many Novaks go poof lately.
