If this is in a slash, then that motor will burn up in 3 runs, and those brushes are expensive, they have no life to them. your better off getting a komodo dragon or something like that were you can get a used lot of brushes cheaper. check out CNC Racing, he is a user on rctech, i bought like 50 pairs of brushes from him and 2 motor for 30 bucks. he has like 3 19 turn motors and 50 pairs of brushes left for like 40$. That would be a better deal.

Why would that get burnt out so fast? My boy uses one of the Generation 2 motors in his car (OK it's not a truck), and it's fantastic. The new motor designs are so much better than the old stuff. His comm lasts a long time between cuts, and the brushes have lasted quite a while.
I wouldn't buy used brushes. Ever. Used motors are one thing, but every used motor I have bought got new brushes, brush springs, comm cut, and a shim before I even ran it.
Just my 2c
Buy the motor if you want to run brushed, and get the endurance replacement brushes, they last a lot longer.

That does look good, but to be honest, just save up for brushless, it is much better. you can get the havok with 10.5 which is the same as that 17t for 150$ on towerhobbies.com.
