I personally think the Mini slash/revo will be a great racer.
Wouldn't the MGT be more in the T-Maxx range for competition?
The Revo is closer to a truggy than it is an MT...

But anyway...

These little suckers look like fun!
They're gonna be a whole lot more drivable on a dirt track than an RC18!

make sure that if you do get a brushed 1/16th slash do not try to run 2 batteries in it, i did that and the thing caught on fire and melted everything in my car. i believe that if you go to the brushless way that it will not effect it whatsoever.

Default NiMH in series?

Newbie question: - is it OK to run 2x 2s lipos in series in the brushless version? For some reason the Traxxas site only mentions using NiMH's in series, is 14.4v is too much for the esc?

It's too much. Run the batteries with a parallel connector not series. People do run them in series but it often times doesn't end well.

Yeah only run them in parallel, By running batteries in parallel you do not change the actual voltage. Example- if i have 2- 2000 MAH 2 cell lipo's and run them in parallel I will still only have a 7.2 volt battery but i will double my capacity and have 4000 mah. Running them in series with double the voltage but keep the same MAH.

Im currently running 2 of the losi slider lipo's in my 1/16 slash and its crazy fast.
I have also tried two 3 cell lipo's in parallel. INSANE!!!!!
