Default OFNA HyperST Mini

Since these have been out for almost two weeks now and no one has made mention of these I just had to!

This has got to be the most fun 4wd vehicle I have ever driven. Right out of the box, a roller. Stick in your favorite motor/ESC/servo/reciever/battery combo and with the enclosed 14t pinion go racing!!

I know for a fact that www.nitrohouse.com has these in stock in both electric and nitro rollers.

Now, you are probably saying, "this is just another nitro conversion", well, you are kinda right, but there is an electric version without all the nitro stuff., different chassis.

Since I am so happy with mine and how easy it is to drive with minimal adjustments, I just had to start spreding the word.

Arrow Assistance Please.

Thanks for spreading the good news on that.
May I request you to kindly measure in mm, the inside dimensions of the battery box and post the data so I can determine what Lipos can fit? Also, may I ask what your ESC, motor(kv included), and battery type & rating are or the Mini Ste?

Thanks very much.

Looks like a cool little truck. I might have to think about one of these.

The battery box dimentions are 148lX34wX28d and I have an older MaxAmps 8000 which flops around within the confines of the box, so you should have no trouble fitting anything in there you have. I use a slice of foam about 10mm wide to take up the slack and sit the batteries on their sides.

I am using the Novak 7.5 bl/GTB along with several different batteries. I use Maxamps 5250/30C for practicing and heats, and the Maxamps 6500/30C for mains. I also have dropped the pinion gear down to a 13t and the throttle EPA at 80% because of the track setup. I may try a 12t and bring the EPA back up, but we will see. I did change from the diff grease to oil, using, front to back, 5K, 7K, 3K, again, because of the track. And if that is not enough information, my steering is setup 1.5deg tow-out/8deg neg camber(top of tire pointed in), again, because of the many tight corners at the track.

This configuration suits my driving style, and it may not work for you or the track you are running on, so do these modifications at your own risk.

34mm wide? That is a weird dimension. I don't know of any battery that is that skinny. You would have to put just about every batter that I know of on its side to fit.

Arrow THANKS !!!

>Da Wizard
Thanks very much for your time and effort in supplying the very helpful information. Kindly keep us posted on this sweet little truck.

I agree with your assessment given the the dimensions supplied are accurate.

It used to be 1 each of the 1/16th E-Revo BL and E-Slash BL. Now it looks like 1 Hyper Mini-STe and 1 from Traxxas even as the budget only allows for 1 at this time.

That is the battery box dimention, and yes, the battery is stood on its side, if you think about it, it does keep all the weight toward the center of the chassis, and with the box being longer than the battery, you can shift the foam from front to back about 10mm for better weight distribution depending on track and conditions. To me this is a plus for quick adjustments without major work.

Anyway, I still LOVE the way this little beast runs. Now, I need to work on being a better driver.

I'll definetly be picking one up, looks like it could be converted to a ST fairly easy and raced against the new Mini "Slash", wb is only 36mm larger.

I had thought of doing the same thing on my RC8 due to its rather centered drive line. For now I moved the center bulkhead over to the right, but now the drive shafts wear at a accelerated rate. I may still try the battery on the side with the drive line centered.

Do share some pics of the little beast.

About that wide.
Now isn't that going to depend on which wheels and tires you decide to run? With the tires and wheels I run mine is about a foot wide, but then I have lots of toe-out, and camber. Somethings I just don't measure, like ride height, so don't ask.

1/12th scale.......1/8th scale without the steroids.

Anymore questions should be answerable upon purchasing one.
