Default Think way back

Okay everyone, I have an old Reedy Sonic original, the S I believe. The one that is black and green or yellow(I can't remember), that is in need of new brushes and springs as it did come from my B2 chassis. What do you guys recommend? All I really know is it is a 17x1 turn. This will be either in my pede if I can't get an old Trinity Quartz, or if I can then it will be in my B2.
Thanks
Nick

PS- it is one that looks like this-> Here.

Either tomorrow or Thursday I will try and get a shot/ confirm which on it is, but I believe it to be what is stated above.

That motor was the "big comm" style. I have the same motor in a 12x2 I think... but I never used it much so I can't really recommend a particular brush. Seems like my fading memory says it used an odd square shaped brush.

For a 17x1, I would give it a fresh cut and a hard brush with some silver... and med springs to get some rpm out of it. Wow it feels like 20 years since I ran brushed

Makes you feel old doesn't it?

Anyways, just got a chance to look, it is an "I" version. I am thinking of using 767, but I am unsure.

767's will work in that motor. That Sonic motor had a larger comm and was one of the first Reedy motors to use lay down brushes.
