Good idea, but NO.
Too much weight, too high, no point for it.

The roll-cage for my Associated Monster GT has less steel than that, and adds at least another pound or two, with a noticeable reduction in handling/acceleration.

I can't imagine putting that much weight onto a Slash....

Also look where the front mounts are, ON THE FRONT BULKHEAD/BODY MOUNTS!

Isn't that what a roll-cage should be protecting, and not focusing the force of impacts onto?

Do we need this? I think Slash's body is strong enough to counter it's own weight....RC4WD is good at fashionable thing I guess...but not on performance...I tried their line up of crawler tires and totally sucks..but again, two thumbs up for their looks....

The front ones, look at where it mounts.
Either those tabs will bend or something will break eventually.

Looks slick but wonder how durable they are? Would've been nice if the cage mounted to the front nerf bumpers...

But I have an SC10, wonder if anyone is going to make one for the SC10???

Highly doubt anyone's gonna pick that up for what it's priced at.
That's real high...

Price was dropped an extra $10.00. Its now 149.99. Chrome or Black.

The chrome looks very nice. Great quality. These should be available in Black and Chrome shown here.

Here are a few photos of the chassis before I mounted it.

This is the mount for a spare tire. We hope to have this out soon. Then we can make this a full Desert Racer.

The body mounted just fine. In order for it to fit, you have to cut out the back of the body. I chose to cut the windows out as well. Looks really nice.

Here is a little abuse video. I stood on the chassis from the top side and flipped it over and stood on it from the other side and no issue at all.

It adds about 2lbs to the truck. This is for the bashers out there.

This video is really good.
