There Should be a Gearing Chart in the Manual...

depending on the track. but i have run the stock white spur with a 21-22 pinion and a 82t yellow spur with a 20-21. both using either a trinity monster or p2k motor.

Being EVERY motor is different even when in the same can, same brushes and same springs all motor's have a SWEET spot.
I usually leave my spur gear off and run a 20 for 2 laps, then reset it for a 21 and then a 22.See which one gives you good top end and good punch as well.
The Core motor's are Wonderful for offroad buggy and truck.
I would do 82/21-22 or 84/21-22.See what works for you.

I have been racing xxx off road for under 1 year, started with
78 or 82 spur, 23 to 25 pinion, main stright is 80ft track is tight with lots of jumps, will try 20-22 pinion this weekend: Also will try 84 spur & see how that goes, 80 % of the racers at my local R/C track are using monster stock, they do have more top end speed than any other stock motor

Yea but straighaways isnt what wins races.
If you take the infield and make it one length it will be 3 times longer than the straight. So if you can HANG on the straight then you will kill them in the infield.Cool thing about Cores is they handle heat and Abuse ALOT more than Trinity Motor's do.Quality of magnets are ALOT higher.
Try factory springs with Reedy 767 brushes and gear it 82/21-22 and see what you think against monsters in offroad.
Goodluck.
