The amount of C is how fast the battery can discharge when the motor needs the power. Basically the higher the C, the more power can be giving to the motor and is usually the better battery. Some of the Brushless motors need at least 25C+ to operate efficient and have the power when you need it. The amount of C though doesn't do anything for run time and speed. If your motor only needs 25C and you have a battery with 30C and one with 40C. The speed and run times will be the same. Of course the higher C battery won't be working as hard and should have a higher life span.

The SMC batteries are great packs and you should have great luck with them.

if you read some of the reviews with lower ratings it will explain the price.

But you Also have to remeber one companys "40c" pack could be the exact same thing as a company with higher quality control "30c" pack. Not all compaines packs go through the same testing to achive a C rating.
