Default PowerWheels Barbie Jeep project.

Part 1-

Running 2 MMM, each on 4s, locked steering- tank style drive.

Part 2- What a day this has been for the R/C Barbie Jeep! Me and Ben went to the newly found LHS, picked up a 1/4 scale futaba s5050 servo, some spraypaint from lowes, and got right to work with the jeep... we drilled a new hole in the steering rack for the servo, mounted the servo nearby on the body, with a custom made servo arm with a slot for the pin to move in. we then cut up some old bike tires, and then screwed them into the plastic wheels for alot more traction. It took us from 4:30 til 7:30 to do everything but treading the front tires... we played with it for a half hour, then ben left, then I finished the front wheels, and a few other minute details, and played with it for another half hour. The batteries still have 3/4 charge in em too!

We are now looking for some CC 5700kv motors for the project if anyone would like to donate

Its to be painted Metalic black and silver , probably going to work on that this afternoon!

And yes you can Put people in it. the first time I drove it R/c with my freind mike on it- it popped a wheelie and flipped him off the back

As for upgrades- Mike and I are going a bit overkill Using Innovation FIRST CIM motors.

Two of these motors can push our 120lb robot really well and cool- so 2 of them in a 30lb Power wheels-direct driven to the wheels should be fun!

The motors are 433kv, and with the tires on the jeep it doesnt need much voltage to get decent speed... Going to be running 2s2p SMC4100 lipos to the esc. Then run the motors in series so each sees 4.2-3.0v of power.

With this low voltage the motors are still turning 1860rpm (remember thats right to the wheels- no reduction)... Using this calculator
http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/index.html
We have come to find that this setup will put us right around 40mph, now who wouldnt like a powerwheels going 40mph! Thats just plain epic
