Right Path?
JConcepts just released their Goose Bumps tire for SC trucks.
IS this the direction you want to see SC style racing tires go?
Short Course racing has progressed and JConcepts is on top of the development with the introduction of the Goose Bumps for the Slash | Slayer and SC10. Realism has not been left out on these race tires, the Goose Bumps are completely detailed with center lug all-terrain inspired tread and side wall. The JConcepts Goose Bumps tires are just what the doctor ordered; combining a totally unique step pin and bar lug design with sticky green compound to allow even greater control on off-road surfaces.
The Goose Bumps are a special breed, designed for maximum performance when new or used as the design allows even wear all the way down to the tire body. Once the driver wears through the initial pin, a bar follows to maximize potential on aggressive surfaces. The Goose Bumps incorporate a compact tire body with a crisp tread pattern with precise separation for intense short course racing competition.
Goose Bumps in new condition excel on soft surfaces with either dry or wet conditions. Worn Goose Bumps excel on indoor or outdoor clay tracks where a slight groove has formed.
Features:
* Race inspired tread design with all-terrain inspiration
* Available in sticky Green compound
* Compact tire body with crisp tread and precise separation
* Aggressive step pin and bar lug combination design
* Includes foam inserts

i was wondering who would be first....
i think its cool that companies are building tires, as long as they keep them scale in size i guess its cool
they are pretty much illegal for any class that is being raced right now with the exception of open.... i hope roar sticks to its guns and keeps the scale tires legal for sct ...

I don't really see nothing wrong with them, at least they do not look like the spiked tires that stadium trucks and buggy has. At least these still look more scale.
Like what shtluck said, they would be good for the Open class.

They will only really be good for extremely sandy conditions when "New"
but when you start to wear the tires some, they will grip better. They should last you a long time. Double Dee's will be better, but I can't tell you what combination of front and rear would work best as I do not have the SC10, but all I know is how the j concept tires react to surfaces, also on your driving style and setup. I suspect double dee's to come out next

Yeah, that's definitely a fuzzy tire.

I dont think our club would allow these tires. Most of us doing the sc10 like the scale partof it. If someone wanted to use these tires we would put them in the apporiate class ie; stock truck, super stock or mod truck, just the same as someone with a slash that had truck tires or buggy wheels. I already race 1/10 truck, I love the fact that the SCT is REAL looking. I'd hate to see SCT lose the direction that this class is supposed to go.
