LRP Sphere TC Issue
 

This weekend I started to have an issue with my about month old speed control. The negative wire going to my battery kept on unsoldering about 5 minutes into the race. The joint was well soldered and my gearing is good at 81/23 (b4 w/ 7.5). I'm using Trinity lipro 4500 lipos and the casing around the negative port was actually getting deformed and cracked from all the heat. The motor and speed control come off cool, but the negative comes unsoldered. Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems like this.

sounds like an internal short circuit to me. It happens with electronic equipment all the time. I would call Associated/LRP and explain the situation. Don't go opening the case or anything for that may void the warranty. Just go ahead and call them and explain the situation. I'm sure they will honor the warranty. Hope this helps.
