I tried the added weight today, it was good forward traction, but to much weight in the rear and it would carry it around to far, so I lost lots of corner speed, so I will pull some out and see what it does.

I pulled the weights out and the truck was much more responsive, I loosened up the slipper alittle and got my rear traction undercontrol, I have to say if you could keep oil in the shocks, this truck is just awesome.

Ok guys just finished my SC10 build. Went together nicely! Quick questions? anyone running mamba motors in their trucks? i have found that the motor shaft is too long and stops the gear cover from going on fully, anyone else have this problem? Iv got a 6900 if that matters? Also i have an IP 3800 lipo that im gonna use in it but the battery strap covers the corally plug holes on the pack, and i dont wanna really dremel the battery strap, or is this my only option?

Cheers

I would say yes, I didnt blink and grabbed the dremel with a sandpaper drum and cleared me a spot for the battery plugs. Works great.
As far as the motor, hate to say it, but I grabbed a die grinder out of the service truck and chopped off the end and rounded it, motor runs fine and has a couple hrs on it now.

Default Finally...

Finally got a few hours to work on the truck this evening.

Finished setting up the RS with a 17.5, tested and put it back together...

Not the best solder job. Haven't quite got that part figured out.

Some more tweaks and it'll be ready for the track again!

Take apart the shocks and add some slime or AE black grease liberally on the o rings and reassemble. This seems to have cured my leaking shocks.

I did this also. But I also drilled about 3/8 (maybe a bit smaller) holes in the strap near the pivot point. Looks a bit neater than sanding out near the twist knowbs

I had one from cheapbatterypacks when I got my Slash but once I went LiPO I never looked back and gave that one away when I traded my Slash off. LHS got me started with a Duratrax 3700 that I still run along with my Checkpoint 4900.
