bigknot - I've seen people having good luck with McCoy MC8's and Thunderbolt Heavy Duty's in those engines.

bradley - The X1 RTR IS race ready! It's only a few upgrades (such as the 7075 shock towers) away from being the X1-CR Pro kit as it is!

Just the norm, 60/40wt 1.4 Blue Springs, 15 mm front, 7 mm rear shock spacers stock kit locations for shocks and camber locations, diff 5/7/1ooo front to rear, 20 degree hubs, A or B block both seem to work.

Aaron- Thanks for you help, I picked up a new Jammin X1 RTR today. Any suggestions on how I should properly break in this motor?

The heat cycle method!

"From the very 1st time you start your engine, plop the car on the
ground & begin running it in a parking lot in 2-3 minute intervals,
tuned only *slightly rich* getting the temps up in the 200F range on a
normal day. Every 2-3 minutes, shut the engine down & let it cool
completely with the piston at BDC, and then fire it back up; continue
this cycle until you've run 15 min or so, and then bump up to 3-4
minute intervals. Vary the RPM and don't be afraid to get the temps
in the 200's. What you want is heat cycling of the components without
the incredible stress that comes with breaking an engine in when it's
overly rich & cold. After cycling the engine in this manner for about
20-25 total minutes, it'll be ready for the track and race tuning."

Default Ofna Torsen Diff in an MP6

Hi
Can anyone tell me if a Hyper 7 Torsen diff will fit an MP6.
Desperatly looking for a couple of Torsens and the only one available at a reasonable price is the Ofna. Not sure if it is too small like the MP7.5.

Depends on how much you want to spend..
your budget will dictate the level of gear that you can purchase.

Are you looking for just a roller or a full RTR?

Keep in mind that most RTR's still require you to buy at least a steering servo for them to work decent, and leave you with a very basic AM radio...
