it should be ran dry then IMO.. a dry track hooks up well if maintained..

the s7 ws7 ws7II s7II are all good engines.. but of course someone has to disagree.. I think the c-4 and c-5's are junk.. unless running wide open all the time..

but, the novarossi P5 is the almighty.. I've never seen an engine perform so well from top to bottom..

I'm waiting to see the 421B right in front of me.. maybe I'll buy one

Dave Crompton won a National Championship Series running a C5, so I suppose it's just a matter of taste. Oh, and engine prep, tuning, car setup and driving style/talent!

But then again, grass track racing is a little different to racing on dirt. I personally wouldn't run with a C5 - I like the smooth spread of power with my WS7. I've never tried a P5, but perhaps I should from what you've said.....

I run a C5-C as my fun motor for the buggy, and FYI, it is by no means "junk" - it just serves a different purpose. The engine absoultely screams on top and makes for some great fun. Could be good on a large track too but would take some time to learn how to control it.

Cossieboi: If U can locate one, try the Original Kyosho MP 7.5! It is basically the same setup as the Kanai's, just doesn't include all the Goodies, but U can buy them seperately & at your own pace! It was my first 1/8 was very pleased with it! "Good Luck"!

Yeah the standard 7.5 is a neat kit, if you keep your eye on ebay for a little while you're bound to find something nice (if you don't mind buying used).

If the std 7.5 is out of your budgets reach, then the Sports RTR etc is pretty decent, but there are a few things you'll have to replace slowly down the track. A friend of mine runs one, and so far it's been great.

But there might be value in going for a cheaper brand instead, and going for something a little higher up in the line if you know what I mean.

Any of the hyper7's in your pricerange? do you want RTR or do you already have some gear etc..?

i think there are better cheap choices than the 7.5 sports rtr i think the hyper 7 pbs is a great deal and the swift and lightning buggys also

the hyper 7 paul coleman edition comes with alot of great stuff in a pretty darn affordable rtr package

if racing is in your future long term going with a competiton buggy from the beginning may be the cheapest long term my suggestion in this case would be mbx5 or the original 7.5 like those others recommended

spending more up front will yeild the cheapest overall results though

my first 1/8th was a storm rtr and after i realized it wasnt competitive i had to upgrade to a serious car costing me alot more than if i had done it right the first time

anyone heard anything about a new design kyosho buggy for next year???

Default Tnankyou

Thanks for all your help guys, I was looking at the hyper7 but i've always had a bit of doubt about ho bao/ofna quality, I hav radio gear and an engine (rex21), so a pro rolling chassis would be fine, just wasnt sure about the hyper7's quality/competitiveness.

thanks again
