Default HoBao Hyper 9E

Well it looks like it's already in stock in Taiwan, so that means that it should be available in the U.S. pretty soon, the design looks pretty good, I wish I could afford a complete 1/8 E setup.

I'm going to have to ask the seller for commissions then! lol

According to DJ @ Ofna, the H9E should be available at the end of April here in the U.S.

It is a nice looking buggy. By far, the best balanced single battery car I have seen. Looks like there is plenty of room to move the battery in the front to back direction. May have to get one of these when they come to the states

ROAR should take a closer look at that battery tray. It would eliminate the hard cased lipo issue, if they made a standard tray that protects soft packs as well as that one appears to...

I looked and couldn't find specs anywhere. But look at the big foam block they have in the back. It appears to be the full length of the chassis, which should be plenty to accommodate a broad range of batteries.

They probly use the battery case as a chassis brace. Notice how it runs from the front diff cup to the rear motor mount. I would like to be able to run a 6s a123 pack in it, but the battery trey would have to be 55mm wide for it to fit.

The tube-like bracing in the battery tray would add a bit of strength to the chassis since the battery tray runs the whole length of the car. Good way to save weight, kill two birds with one stone.

I saw this auction yesterday but didn't want to say anything. Really want one of these and didn't want any more bidders if it comes to that. Hadn't heard any offical work for the U.S. though.

So if you win the car and Hobao doesn't bring it to the states, how are you going to get parts?

to me its not a question of if they would bring it. just when. also most of the nitro parts should fit. also I said offical word on release date. Doesn't mean I haven't heard anything.
